OPEN-AIR MUSEUM OF STEAM-ENGINES IN JAWORZYNA ŚLĄSKA LOCOMOTIVE RULES

(5-6 hours)

Jaworzyna Slaska is the oldest railway junction and the best preserved steam locomotive roundhouse in Poland that solicitously harbor infrequent steam engines and other unique rail and motor equipment. If you are a fan of trains or rail in general - this place is a must! If you are just curious - 34 locomotives, 41 carriages and 8 workshop machines are waiting here to convince you about their old but everlasting charm. They are not ecological, they are not fast, but isn′t any beginning just so? Neither cheap nor efficient – of course comparing to further solutions. But that is why it′s called “the beginning”. Comparing to stagecoaches or carriages trains were quite exquisite, fast, comfortable and… efficient. This place has many stories to tell and welcomes you with arms wide open.
